Job Description

Job Summary Southeast Eye Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic approach will help foster positive relationships, streamline administrative processes, and support the overall delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software. Verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately and efficiently. Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, appointment reminders, and post-visit follow-up. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and optimal appointment management. Maintain detailed knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions and clinical notes. Support medical administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance claims processing when needed. Handle patient inquiries via phone or email professionally, providing clear information about services and procedures. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices is essential. Experience providing medical administrative support, including scheduling and record management, is advantageous. Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and multitasking abilities is required. Dental office experience is a plus but not mandatory; strong communication skills are essential regardless of specialty.
