  • Full-time, Contract M1-Health is seeking an energetic, professional, and highly organized Patient Enrollment Specialist to join our healthcare and clinical research team.
This role combines patient communication, scheduling, front desk operations, recruitment support, and administrative coordination within a fast-paced healthcare and research environment. We are looking for individuals with strong people skills who enjoy speaking with patients, multitasking throughout the day, staying organized under pressure, and helping maintain a positive and efficient patient experience. Candidates who enjoy patient interaction, communication, scheduling coordination, and fast-moving team environments tend to perform best in this role. This is NOT a slow-paced desk role. Candidates should be comfortable handling high call volumes, scheduling, patient follow-up, multitasking, recruitment activities, and assisting with operational support as assigned by leadership and the Medical Director. This role is performance-driven and goal-oriented. Success in the position depends heavily on communication skills, responsiveness, patient engagement, scheduling efficiency, follow-up consistency, and the ability to support recruitment and retention efforts across multiple clinical trials. Team members are expected to actively help maintain recruitment momentum, appointment completion, and patient retention throughout study participation.
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting and assisting patients at the front desk Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow Managing incoming and outgoing patient calls, emails, data entry. Following up with patients regarding visits, study participation, and appointment attendance Supporting patient recruitment and enrollment activities for clinical trials
  • Assisting with administrative assignments and operational support as directed Verification, intake coordination, and documentation, record collection Helping maintain efficient daily clinic and research workflow
Preferred Backgrounds:
Front desk or medical receptionist experience Customer service, hospitality, scheduling, or patient coordination experience Sales, call center, or patient engagement experience strongly preferred Healthcare, urgent care, aesthetics, dental, or medical office experience is a plus
Requirements:
Strong English communication skills is a MUST Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-moving operational setting Reliable commute to Orland Park required Basic computer and scheduling software proficiency preferred
