  • 4pm): We are seeking a dedicated Patient Financial Services Representative to join our healthcare team.
In this role, you will serve as a vital point of contact for patients regarding their financial responsibilities, insurance inquiries, and billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations within our organization. Responsibilities Assist patients with billing questions, payment options, and insurance coverage details Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly Collect payments and process transactions accurately using our billing systems Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid accounts Educate patients on their financial obligations and available assistance programs Collaborate with clinical staff and insurance companies to ensure smooth communication Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Document all interactions thoroughly in the electronic health record system Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in medical billing, patient services, or related field preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and billing software Knowledge of insurance policies, coding, and reimbursement processes is desirable Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and be capable of handling frequent interruptions. Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
