Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary $500 Sign On Bonus A non-exempt medical office position responsible for front office processes in the physician practice Responsibilities Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement, and Corporate Compliance Program. Greet patients entering the physician practice. Answer office phones, making, confirming, and rescheduling appointments when necessary. Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographics, enter data into the electronic system, and verify insurance. Assist in checking out patients and assist them with referral processing and scheduling. Collect co-pays and post charges. Perform charge entry and patient balance processing. Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and information about the practice. Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma/GED required with completion medical office assistant program preferred.
Certification :
Prefer healthcare management/administration certification.
Experience:
Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
