Patient Service Representative (Outpatient Clinic) InSync Consulting Services Full-Time |

Day Shift Schedule:

8-hour shifts between 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (based on caseload) InSync Consulting Services is currently seeking a professional, patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to support a busy outpatient clinic. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service while managing front-office administrative duties in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone Greet patients warmly and assist in addressing questions or concerns, escalating issues when appropriate Check patients in and out efficiently while collecting co-payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling payments Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information within electronic medical records (CS-Link/Epic) Schedule patient appointments and complete registration processes Process, monitor, and track referrals and authorizations for multiple insurance plans Manage communication between patients, providers, and internal departments Explain office policies, procedures, and available services to patients Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace following department protocols and safety guidelines

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required Experience with medical insurance verification, referral processes, and benefit plans Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting Strong ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative Understanding of medical terminology Experience using Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Pay:

$24.00 per hour
