Job Description

Paycom Payroll Specialist Position Summary Industrial Air Flow Dynamics (IAFD) is continuing to grow and currently has an immediate opening for a Paycom Payroll Specialist to join our corporate team in Cleveland, Texas. This role will work alongside our current Payroll Specialist to support the processing of weekly multi-state payroll across three affiliated companies, supporting field service, manufacturing, and corporate operations. The ideal candidate will have strong Paycom experience and a solid understanding of complex payroll environments involving prevailing wages, certified payroll, travel pay, per diem, and multi-state tax compliance. This position reports directly to the Controller. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process weekly multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using Paycom. Manage payroll tax setup and compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions. Administer payroll involving prevailing wages, certified payroll reporting, travel pay, per diem, and field labor. Review and audit payroll data, including hours, overtime, deductions, reimbursements, and employee tax setup for accuracy. Coordinate with field supervisors and managers to ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll approvals. Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, PTO balances, and direct deposit information within Paycom. Support payroll reporting, audits, quarterly processing, and year-end payroll activities. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or field service environments preferred. Hands-on Paycom experience required. Experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll tax compliance required. Knowledge of Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll reporting required. Experience handling travel pay, per diem, and project-based payroll required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
