Payroll Administrator (Workday Experience Required)•TEMP (8+ Weeks)
Location:
Tarrytown, NY Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•4:30
PM Pay:
$30•32/hour (based on experience)
Type:
Temporary (minimum 8 weeks, potential extension) Position Overview Seeking a Payroll Administrator with Workday experience to support weekly payroll processing, HRIS updates, reporting, and employee payroll inquiries. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting Payroll, HR, and Accounting teams. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll and support the payroll schedule (Monday-Wednesday) Run payroll reports and review basic errors or alerts in Workday Review and approve time off, absences, and payroll updates Enter payroll adjustments, corrections, and one-time payments as needed Upload quarterly reports and handle sick pay documentation in Workday Send weekly OSHA employee ID updates Send reminders for timecards and follow up with managers for approvals Check payroll details for new hires, terminations, and employees on leave Help employees with Workday updates like direct deposit, taxes, and personal info Answer payroll questions by email or phone Monitor payroll inbox and route messages to the right HR teams Provide pay stubs, payment history, and earnings statements when requested Complete employment verification requests and write basic verification letters Help coordinate live checks with accounting and confirm delivery to employees Assist with garnishment setup and employee questions Qualifications Workday payroll experience required Prior payroll or HR/HRIS experience preferred Strong attention to detail and reliability Good communication and customer service skills Comfortable handling confidential information HumanHire is a national executive search and staffing firm with a leadership team that has over 50 years of experience as trusted industry professionals specializing in direct hire, temp to hire, temporary and payrolling services.
