DESCRIPTION

The Payroll Specialist ensures accurate and timely payroll processing while also supporting core human resources operations, including employee records, and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process bi-monthly payroll for all FPCH employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain payroll records including timecards, wage rates, benefits, and tax data Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Manage payroll deductions (benefits, retirement, garnishments, etc.) Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and distribution Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries Maintain and troubleshoot payroll systems (Paylocity) Processing terminations and final pay coordination Maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity (Paylocity), ensuring accuracy and compliance Assist with benefits administration support, including enrollments, changes, and audits Support HR in compliance and documentation, including: maintaining personnel files Assisting with audits and reporting Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics (headcount, turnover, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with payroll systems and payroll processing (Paylocity preferred). Strong understanding of payroll regulations and best practices. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity strongly preferred) Familiarity with HR processes such as onboarding, benefits, and compliance preferred Excellent organizational and time management skills. Prior experience in a nonprofit or church setting is a plus.

Pay:

$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
