Payroll Specialist

Southern Response Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our growing corporate team in Mobile, Alabama. We are a fast-paced industrial staffing company specializing in shipyard, heavy industrial, construction, and environmental workforce solutions across 48 states. Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly payroll accurately and on time Review and verify employee hours, timecards, and job coding Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and labor regulations Assist with onboarding documentation and employee payroll setup Communicate with employees, recruiters, and clients regarding payroll issues or discrepancies Maintain payroll records and confidential employee information Assist with garnishments, deductions, direct deposits, and tax-related items Support workers' compensation reporting and payroll audits when needed Work closely with recruiting, HR, and accounting departments to ensure operational accuracy

Qualifications:

Previous payroll experience preferred Staffing or industrial industry experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines Professional communication and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems High level of integrity and confidentiality At Southern Response Services, we believe our people are the foundation of our success. $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
