Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Progression Path with Post-Secondary Education BA or BS degree in human resources, accounting, business, or a related field (preferred, not required) B. Progression Path without Post-Secondary Education Highschool diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in payroll administration Certification may be required in the future. Software ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager (previously Essential Time) - required Must be comfortable utilizing Microsoft products. Excel proficiency is a must. Proficiency in particular job content Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs. Excellent attention to detail, strong problem solving and visualization skills Able to draft and edit written materials and correspondence Stay current with payroll regulations and system updates Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Ability to work in an upstairs office space Benefits found in job post Medical insuranceESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Payroll Processing - Administer and process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Provide weekly payroll journal entry data to Accounting Department. Submit 401(k) contribution files weekly. Process and maintain wage garnishment application in HRIS system. Maintain and update payroll records in the HRIS system to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reporting - Prepare and submit payroll related reports monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Monitor and reconcile vacation, sick, and earned time balances; calculate monthly accruals. Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records in accordance with company policies. Monitor and maintain timekeeping systems for accurate recordkeeping. Oversee weekly health insurance invoices, deductions and benefit contributions. Process employee expenses and reimbursements weekly in payroll system. Collaborate with plant HR on sensitive payroll matters including garnishments, terminations, and benefit adjustments. Audit Support - Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and information as needed.Employee Support:
Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions, providing accurate and timely responses.Policy & Systems Development:
Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and compliance. Assist with year-end reporting including W-2 and 1099 preparation and submission.Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per hourBenefits:
