Position Overview:
We are seeking a Contract Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a company undergoing post-acquisition integration. This role will play a critical part in ensuring payroll continuity, accuracy, and compliance during the transition to ADP. The Payroll Specialist will help manage day-to-day payroll processing, validate employee and payroll data, support system conversion activities, and assist with issue resolution throughout the integration process.
Key Responsibilities:
Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule during the acquisition and integration period.

Support payroll data migration, validation, and reconciliation as employee records and payroll information are integrated into ADP.Review payroll inputs including earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, bonuses, and benefit changes.

Partner with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of payroll processes and employee data.

Audit payroll reports and resolve discrepancies related to pay, tax withholding, timekeeping, and employee master data.

Assist with parallel payroll testing, system checks, and post-conversion support.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Respond to employee payroll questions and provide timely resolution during the transition.

Document payroll processes, integration issues, and recommended improvements.

Support year-end or quarter-end payroll activities as needed.
