GRADES PK-5 PBIS
Teacher RSU 24 is seeking a PBIS Teacher to support students in developing self-awareness, emotional regulation, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making for the 2026-2027 school year. The PBIS Teacher implements engaging weekly lessons to PK-5 classrooms using our district approved curriculum, works with small groups and individual students, and collaborates with teachers, families, and school leaders to foster a safe and supportive school climate. The PBIS Teacher supports the implementation of PBIS strategies, and collaborates with the MTSS team to assist in the development and implementation of intervention plans. This position is split equally between Peninsula and Ella Lewis schools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned. Provide weekly instruction to PK-5 classrooms using our district approved curriculum. Teach individual students and small groups self regulation strategies, problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Develop tools and resources to support students' regulation, conflict resolution, and peer relationships. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to understand student needs and identify appropriate interventions Gather and analyze data to monitor student progress toward goals and whole school trends. Collaborate with the MTSS team to coordinate interventions and behavior plans. Implement and support PBIS initiatives to promote a positive school climate. Partner with families and community organizations to meet student needs. Support attendance initiatives and student engagement efforts Engage in ongoing professional development in PBIS and best practices to be implemented in the classroom. The successful candidate will hold Professional Teacher Certification, School Counselor, BCBA and /or other related certifications. Must hold a current MDOE Criminal History Records Check. Pay is based upon experience and level of education. Comprehensive benefit package which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, pension and 403(b) plans, flexible spending accounts for medical and daycare expenses, direct deposit, and much more.
