Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those in personal care homes or group homes. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, including dementia care, meal preparation, and monitoring vital signs, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our clients. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, adhering to hygiene standards. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure safety protocols are followed. Support clients with dementia care by employing patience and understanding in daily interactions. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or personal care roles is preferred. Ability to assist with meal preparation and maintain cleanliness in the home environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license.
