PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities Proficient with electronic health records and documentation Effective communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage patients with complex or changing conditions transitioning from intensive to standard care Administer medications, therapies, and perform frequent assessments according to individualized care plans Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to adjust treatment plans as needed Provide patient and family education regarding recovery, transitions, and ongoing care needs Accurately document patient status, interventions, and progress in the medical record Maintain a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes patient comfort and dignity
