Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a dynamic progressive care environment where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to individuals in stepdown and progressive care unit settings.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing Experience in Stepdown and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills Familiarity with monitoring devices, telemetry, and advanced life support protocols Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage complex patient cases and respond quickly in urgent situations
Schedule:
Various shifts available; schedule details to be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care with a focus on individuals requiring stepdown or PCU-level monitoring Assess, plan, and implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs Monitor vital signs, recognize clinical changes, and respond to emergencies with prompt interventions Coordinate with physicians and support staff to ensure seamless patient transitions Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and ongoing care Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of patient status and interventions per regulatory standards Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages patient recovery and well-being This position provides the chance to contribute your specialized stepdown and PCU knowledge in a collaborative setting, supported by cutting-edge equipment and professional growth opportunities.
