Job Description
The PDC Manager is the senior site leader accountable for customer service excellence, last‑mile delivery performance, labor relations, and long‑range site strategy, leveraging embedded and emerging automated technologies within the Parts Distribution Center (PDC).
Business Acumen & Engineering Leadership Responsibilities:
Manage the PDC as a profit‑impacting node within a broader distribution network Apply industrial engineering principles (capacity modeling, flow optimization, labor standards, layout strategy) Evaluate service‑to‑cost tradeoffs, ROI, payback, and risk for capital and technology investments Communicate complex operational and engineering concepts at the executive levelKey Responsibilities:
Customer service ownership and senior dealer escalation leadership Last‑mile delivery and carrier performance accountability Labor relations leadership, grievance handling, and negotiations Strategic planning, financial stewardship, and people leadership AI‑enabled decision leadership, analytics governance, and technology adoption oversightRequirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Labor, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related field of study Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial/supervisory in a distribution warehouse environment Knowledge of Continuous Improvement systems and Lean Manufacturing Experience managing day-to-day operations in a union environment Proven ability to develop and execute a detailed project plan Ability to develop analyses to improve current standard processes and seek solutions to improve performance Willingness to work extended weekday hours and weekends across day/evening shifts, as required Willingness to relocatePreferred Qualifications:
