1. Master's Degree in Special Education, required 2. Valid Indiana Teacher License 3. Pass a criminal history check
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as an educational diagnostician for the Greater Randolph Interlocal Cooperative (GRIC) in accordance with Board policies and the master contract. The educational diagnostician will be responsible for assisting with psychoeducational evaluations on students referred by their respective district(s). The educational diagnostician will be involved with assisting school personnel in addressing specific needs of students. The educational diagnostician may be asked to assist with monitoring special education programs in their assigned buildings, attend case conferences, and work collaboratively to meet the needs of students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides educational diagnostician services across the five member school corporations, which may include: Observing in classrooms and/or in social situations Reviewing pertinent school records Consulting with parents and school personnel Administering diagnostic instruments Interpreting assessment data Collaborating with school staff on the development and writing of the IEP. Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team for students undergoing an evaluation and coordinates resources to assure a comprehensive educational evaluation is completed. Utilizes research to aid in identifying appropriate techniques and services to meet student needs. Assists in conducting reevaluations for children eligible for special education services. Provides ongoing professional development for school and community when requested. Completes education reports and paperwork accurately according to regulations and procedures within the required time line. Collaborates with school personnel on Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as needed. Collaborates in the evaluation of academic and behavioral management programs using data to recommend interventions Follows and informs others of IDEA and Article 7 rules and regulations as well as GRIC Policies and Procedures. Attends all GRIC diagnostic and staff meetings, as required. Provides other related duties as assigned by the Director, or their designee. pdf GRIC
