Pediatric Dental Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

We are a new, modern pediatric dental practice opening in Auburn, Maine, and we are looking for an exceptional Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a pediatric practice from the ground up alongside a board-certified pediatric dentist in a positive, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality care and an outstanding patient experience. We are looking for someone who is confident, kind, efficient, and genuinely enjoys working with children and families. What We're Looking For Maine EFDA certification required Pediatric dental experience preferred (but not required for the right candidate) Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment Positive attitude with excellent patient rapport Ability to multitask and stay organized Passion for creating a fun, welcoming experience for children Responsibilities Chairside assisting during pediatric dental procedures Coronal polishing and expanded function duties permitted under Maine regulations Taking digital radiographs Sterilization and operatory setup/breakdown Supporting patient flow and efficiency Helping create a calm, child-friendly environment Educating parents and patients on oral hygiene and treatment recommendations About the Practice We are designed specifically for children, with a strong emphasis on: Compassionate pediatric care Modern technology Efficient systems and workflow Team culture and long-term growth A welcoming and supportive work environment This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new pediatric office from the beginning and help shape the culture of the practice.

Schedule Initially:

Thursdays Fridays Additional days and expanded hours expected as the practice grows.
