Streetsboro Dental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant or EFDA to lead our pediatric and surgical/sedation team. This is a unique opportunity to help expand pediatric services within a well-established general dentistry practice. In this role, you will serve as a key leader within our pediatric department, helping ensure smooth clinical operations while delivering exceptional patient care. Your experience will help create a welcoming environment for young patients and their families, while maintaining high standards in infection control, documentation, and overall clinical excellence. Office Hours:
M-TH 8-5 F 8-1
Huddle starts 30 Minutes prior Surgery Days Will start earlier Responsibilities Assist the Pediatric Dentist with all aspects of pediatric dental care Coordinate and manage sedation schedules with the sedation team Communicate with patients' families to ensure proper scheduling and preparation Collaborate with the front office to streamline scheduling workflows Perform all aspects of pediatric dental assisting, including for sedation cases Manage and support internal referrals with our "sister" office locations Help guide and support the Dentist to ensure a productive, positive clinical environment Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a pediatric dentistry setting or general dentistry with pediatric exposure Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred but not required. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining radiation safety standards; experience with 3D scanners is a plus Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members Knowledge of pediatric-specific procedures such as endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty treatments is preferred Certification in dental assisting (e.g., CDA or RDA) along with CPR certification; additional training in pediatrics is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference in young patients' lives by providing compassionate care in a vibrant environment.
