Job Description

Pediatric Neuro-Intensivist Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine Boston Children's Hospital The Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine, in collaboration with the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Boston Children's Hospital, are inviting candidates with training in Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine to apply for the position of Neuro-Intensivist in the Division of Critical Care Medicine, in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain & Critical Care Medicine. The candidate for this position will be board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Critical Care and will serve as an active Faculty member of the Division of Critical Care Medicine, providing clinical care in the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) at Boston Children's Hospital. The MSICU at Boston Children's Hospital is a 54-bed unit that features state-of-the-art technologies designed to provide the highest-quality critical care. As part of the Neurocritical Care Core, a thriving group of intensivists, neurologists, neuro-interventionists, neuro-oncologists, and neurosurgeons provide cutting-edge and innovative care for children with a wide variety of neurologic illnesses. We value and are strongly committed to an interdisciplinary, team-centered approach to patient care, the well-being of our clinicians, and innovation through research and education. The ideal candidate will also be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Neurology and will be considered for a joint appointment in the Department of Neurology. They will have a vision for advancing innovative, collaborative neurocritical care at Boston Children's Hospital through teaching and education of colleagues, our Critical Care Fellows, APPs, and residents. Candidates must meet the metrics for an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS) at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or higher level. Candidates without board eligibility in Pediatric Neurology training but with a demonstrable commitment to neurocritical care are also encouraged to apply. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes incentives, medical/vision/dental coverage, a back-up child-care benefit, paid time off, a 403(b) retirement plan, an employer-funded retirement plan, a generous professional allowance, a child tuition reimbursement program, and other employee discounts. The posted pay range is CHMC Anesthesia Foundation's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay estimate at the time of posting, depending on the candidate's level of experience.
