Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary and middle school students for the upcoming academic year. Beginning August 4, 2026, and running through May 28, 2027, this contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference as you work with a diverse group of young learners. As a key member of the educational team, you'll manage a caseload typically around 45 students. You'll be collaborating with teachers, families, and allied professionals across both elementary and middle school settings. With a balanced 37.5-hour workweek, you'll have the consistency to build strong therapeutic relationships and achieve your students' speech and language goals.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed or underway Familiarity with pediatric populations in school or healthcare environments Strong background in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) Passion for supporting students' growth in both elementary and middle school settings Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork with educators, support staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and screenings for speech, language, and communication disorders Provide direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals Document student progress and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of student support strategies Educate families and staff on communication strategies to facilitate student success This role offers you the chance to inspire young learners and contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment.
