Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, serving students from PreK through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position will allow you to make a significant difference in students' lives by supporting their growth and development in a dedicated school setting. The assignment spans from August 4th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, providing a stable and impactful role throughout the school year with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain) Experience with school-based OT services Familiarity with home health and broader healthcare OT practices is desirable Prior exposure to caseloads of 45-50 students will be valuable Comfortable serving a diverse student population ranging from PreK through high school Strong communication and collaboration skills with school staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Implement therapy strategies that foster skills for participation, self-regulation, and academic success in the school environment Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive service delivery Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and reporting in line with school district and state guidelines Provide consultative support for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making Embark on an impactful role where your expertise will empower students to overcome barriers and access their education more fully.
