Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Maine Memorial Elementary as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential services during a maternity leave that spans the beginning of the school year through winter break. The position involves working with approximately 60 students, fostering communication development, and helping young learners reach their individual goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting students in a friendly, collaborative elementary environment. Whether you have prior school-based experience or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your commitment to pediatric care and enthusiasm for educational settings will make a difference.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current SLP license in New York State or eligibility for licensure. Experience or strong interest in pediatric populations within school or healthcare settings. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms, IEP development, and documentation. Open to Clinical Fellow (CFY) or fully licensed candidates. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 elementary students. Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and data on student performance and interventions. Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed to support student access. Actively participate in IEP meetings and professional development.
