Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as a school Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a maternity leave coverage spanning from the beginning of the school year through winter break. This engaging role serves approximately 60 students at an elementary school, offering a chance to positively impact young learners' communication skills at a pivotal stage in their development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Valid state SLP licensure (with eligibility to work in schools) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs are welcome Experience delivering speech therapy in pediatric and/or educational settings Comfort with managing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of teletherapy platforms considered a plus Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in groups Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' goals Complete required documentation, including IEPs and progress reports, in a timely and thorough manner Consult on language and communication strategies for classroom integration Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to foster student success This contract assignment offers the unique opportunity to serve a close-knit school community during a vital period.
