Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an engaging opportunity to provide vital speech-language services within a supportive school setting. This full-time contract position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives working with elementary-aged students and values collaboration with skilled assistants. You'll play a key role in helping young learners build essential communication skills from now through June 11th, with the additional opportunity to extend through the full upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active California Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility), with CCC or CFY accepted Previous experience in school-based or pediatric environments is highly valued Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and creating effective treatment plans for diverse speech and language needs Comfortable managing an elementary caseload, including collaboration with an SLPA Strong interpersonal skills for fostering rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt to dynamic school environments and maintain organized documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech therapy services to an elementary caseload of approximately 45 students Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor progress Supervise and coordinate activities with the assigned SLPA for optimal student outcomes Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and related service providers Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
