Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of middle and high school students by applying your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity runs from September through mid-June, working closely with a diverse caseload of 70-80 students in grades 6-12. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team and report directly to the Director of Special Education, helping students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
Active Washington SLP License Commitment to serving students with special education needs and their families Experience in assessment, evaluation, and consultation for varied speech and language impairments Comfort incorporating humor and fun in the therapeutic and educational environment Excellent relationship-building skills with staff, students, families, and community partners Comprehensive understanding of special education processes and disability categories; expertise in early learning or atypical impairments is a plus Strong organization and planning abilities for program implementation and identification Skilled in active listening and effective two-way communication
Role Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services for students in grades 6-12 Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with educational teams and families to support student success Participate in professional meetings and contribute your insights on best practices Foster a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged
