Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students in the Wilmington, DE area. This position is ideal for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists eager to apply their expertise within a school-based setting, working collaboratively to foster communication development among children and adolescents.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status welcomed Prior experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare settings is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and implement individualized treatment plans
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among students Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluations Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes Provide education and support to both staff and families regarding communication disorders and strategies Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
