Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Discover an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in elementary school settings. This contract-to-hire position spans the 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026 - May 2027) and offers the chance to provide high-impact support to students in a welcoming, collaborative environment located near Warrenton, VA. With a full-time schedule and responsibility over 1-2 school sites, you'll thrive in a role dedicated to nurturing communication skills and academic growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience in pediatric and elementary school populations highly preferred Proficiency in both in-person and teletherapy SLP service delivery Ability to organize and manage a dynamic caseload effectively Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver speech-language therapy to elementary students Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student progress and meet IEP goals Implement a mix of direct and virtual therapy sessions, as needed Maintain clear records, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings Serve as a resource on speech and communication concerns to school personnel and families Travel between 1-2 assigned school locations within a manageable area With a welcoming school team and a chance to build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues, this position provides a rewarding environment for both professional development and personal satisfaction.
