The Opportunity:
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric patients while supporting our mission to advance health equity and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to Boston's diverse communities. This position includes a balance of 80% clinical care and 20% administrative responsibilities, with opportunities to contribute to education, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, continuous pediatric care, including preventive, routine, and urgent services Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in clinical and community-based settings Promote health education, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives Supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and allied health staff Maintain accurate and timely medical records Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and patient care audits Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care as needed Engage in teaching, mentoring, and continuing education activities Participate in on-call coverage as assigned
Qualifications:
MD or DO with completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics (with expected certification) Active Massachusetts Physician License (or ability to obtain) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong knowledge of pediatric care standards, diagnostics, and treatment protocols Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, community health setting Commitment to health equity and culturally responsive care Join Our Team!
