Peer Recovery Specialists Calling People in Recovery & Allies—Make a Difference Everyday!Who we are:
At Voices of Hope, we don't just talk about recovery—we live it, walk it, and meet people exactly where they are. We're a boots-on-the-ground, heart-on-our-sleeve team that supports individuals facing addiction or substance use challenges, and we're looking for compassionate night owls to join us. Our doors (and hearts) stay open—even after dark. We will provide all trainings for free and pay you to complete them so that you can become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist! Voices of Hope is a nonprofit organization providing peer support to the communities in Cecil and Harford County. Our mission is to advocate for behavioral health disorder prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery resources; eliminate the stigma of addiction through outreach events and education; and support ALL pathways of recovery. Position Details Full Time, 2nd shift or 3rdShift Pay:
$20.00 - $27/hr (based on experience) What You'll Do As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you'll be the calm in the chaos, the voice on the other end of the line, the ride to treatment, the Narcan trainer, the goal-setter, and the harm reduction advocate. You'll support people in real time, when they need it most—because recovery doesn't keep business hours.Your shift might include:
Meeting people one-on-one to offer support and resources Providing transportation to treatment or recovery housing Handing out harm reduction supplies with compassion and zero judgement Using your lived experience to inspire others Working with a team that gets it and has your back Who You Are In recovery and actively working a personal recovery plan Connected to the local recovery community A night-shift warrior who doesn't mind odd hours Have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screen GED or high school diploma (required) Tech-comfortable and detail-oriented Willing to get your Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist credential within one year Must be able to lift 50 pounds Why You'll Love It Here You'll never feel like just an employee—you're family You'll be part of real change You'll laugh.
