Marcum & Wallace Hospital Job Summary:
The Peer Recovery Specialist provides direct patient care under the supervision of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH).Essential Functions:
Facilitates individual and/or support groups (within scope) and may participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings. Provides post-discharge follow-up, along with community resource knowledge and navigation. Delivers overdose prevention and education on Naloxone utilization . Participates in continued education and in-service training. High School Diploma/GED (required)Licensing & Certifications:
Certified Peer Specialist per state guidelines (required) National Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (preferred)Experience:
