Job Description

Position Summary Provide peer-based recovery support primarily through Hope Town's Peer-Run Organization at the Recovery Community Center. This position helps create a welcoming recovery environment while connecting individuals to recovery supports, community resources, and Hope Town programs. This role also supports linkage & navigation and recovery housing services as needed. The position primarily works evening and weekend hours to ensure recovery services remain accessible outside of standard business hours. This role reports to the Recovery Care Coordinator and coordinates closely with the Recovery Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provide peer-based recovery support using shared lived experience. Support programming and daily activities within the Recovery Community Center. Welcome and engage individuals seeking recovery support through the peer-run organization. Assist individuals in accessing treatment, recovery housing, workforce training, employment, transportation, and community resources. Provide linkage and navigation services for individuals referred by community partners including treatment providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and community agencies. Support individuals living in Hope Town recovery housing by assisting with problem solving and connection to services. Assist peers with accessing benefits, completing forms, and navigating community systems. Coordinate services with Hope Town programs and outside service providers. Encourage participation in recovery meetings, peer groups, and recovery-focused activities. Assist with recovery community outreach and events. Complete documentation and service records according to program and grant requirements. Maintain accurate documentation within required timeframes. Follow confidentiality and Ohio Department of Behavioral Health standards. Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required training. Maintain professionalism and uphold Hope Town values. Additional duties as needed or assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Certified Peer Recovery Supporter through the State of Ohio GED or higher. Ability and willingness to learn and utilize technology tools, including AI-assisted platforms, to improve documentation, communication, and service delivery. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and computer knowledge. Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees. and the public Must be well organized Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
