Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma/GED Two years of experience with individuals with severe or persistent chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, mental illness Or combination of education, work experience, and training Must be able to obtain a certification as a Certified Peer Support Specialist- from a state-approved training within 6 months of hire.
State of Oregon Administrative Rule:
Self-identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services. Or A self-identified person in recovery from a substance abuse disorder, who meet the abstinence requirements for recovering staff in alcohol and other drug treatment programs. Or A family member of an individual who is a current or former recipient of addictions or mental health services. Successful completion of background check Valid driver's license Ability to travel to other locations as necessary to complete essential job functions. Must pass a Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) Criminal Background Check (to enter correctional setting)Preferred:
