Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
This role leads the People Experience (PEX) for North America , covering hire‑to‑retire processes across one of Unilever's key anchor markets globally. As the People Experience Director for North America, you are a senior leader accountable for the delivery and transformation of employee experience and HR service delivery across key moments in the employee lifecycle. The role aligns HR strategy with operational execution, ensuring effective deployment of global technology, services, processes, and people‑centric solutions. You will champion operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high HR service standards. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior HR leadership, you will influence priorities while ensuring compliance, scalability, and agility in a dynamic business environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the architect of the People Experience strategy for North America, defining and executing a clear PEX vision aligned to local HR priorities, business objectives, and the global PEX agenda. Represent North America priorities in global PEX forums, ensuring experiences, policies, and solutions are legally compliant, locally relevant, and scalable. Own the end‑to‑end delivery of People Experience services across the employee lifecycle, with direct leadership for Talent Acquisition, People Experience Partners, Core HR team and service accountability for Payroll and HR Operations, Champion data‑led decision making by leveraging employee experience insights and operational data to continuously improve experiences and service outcomes. Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across all PEX activities, maintaining audit readiness and adherence to global and local HR policies, labor laws, and regulatory standards. Partner closely with the Global PEX Leadership team to deliver seamless, efficient, and high‑quality services, while driving speed, cost efficiency, and accountability through clearly defined SLAs. Lead Talent Acquisition strategy across in‑market teams and hubs, driving agility, speed to talent, and quality of hire across all key roles and segments. Champion digital adoption and transformation, including Service Delivery Model and global PEX tools, embedding technology into everyday experiences to simplify processes, enhance service delivery, and release capacity for teams and employees. Cascade global PEX innovations, standards, and best practices into local markets, ensuring consistent execution while incorporating local insights and opportunities for continuous improvement. Build and develop high‑performing PEX teams across North America, fostering collaboration, accountability, drive and a strong employee experience focused mindset. Own performance and financial management for North America PEX organization, ensuring disciplined budget management, cost efficiency, and delivery of service excellence without compromising employee experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles and complex, global and matrixed environments. Strong experience in HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition is required, preferably within CPG industry. Proven ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders across multiple HR disciplines. Deep understanding of HR Operations and service delivery models, with demonstrated experience balancing employee experience, governance, and operational excellence. Experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary HR teams and operating models, setting direction, building capability, and driving outcomes through influence and leadership (direct and indirect). Proven track record leading large‑scale change and transformation initiatives, aligned to the needs of a growth‑oriented business. Demonstrated experience in digital and HR transformation, leveraging technology, data, and automation to simplify processes, enhance employee experience, and scale service delivery. Understands the business deeply, bringing a business‑focused mindset, using data and insights to deliver measurable business impact. Leads with courage and care—building strong, high‑performing HR teams that deliver consistently with excellence while creating opportunities that stretch and develop future leaders.
Pay:
The pay range for this position is $227,700 to $398,475 Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus:
This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI) : This position is LTI eligible.
