Per Diem Staff Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available supporting a family of four independently owned retail pharmacies in the Atlanta metro area. This flexible role begins as PRN coverage for one location with potential to expand into a part-time floater position, covering up to 30-35 hours weekly across all sites. The pharmacies collectively process 100-150 prescriptions per day, with duties primarily focused on retail pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will also manage specialty medications and prepare packages for mail and courier delivery. Experience with PrimeRX software is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and safely according to prescriptions Counsel patients on proper medication use and answer related questions Manage specialty medication handling and packaging for delivery services Float between multiple pharmacy locations to provide consistent patient care Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred Familiarity with PrimeRX or similar pharmacy management systems Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse patient population Ability to adapt quickly to different pharmacy environments and workflows Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Tucker, GA (with travel between family of Atlanta-area stores)

Schedule:

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM shifts Per diem hours initially, possibility to grow into part-time floater role This is a contract position offering excellent exposure to diverse retail pharmacy practice across multiple locations.
