Position Summary Megapixel Imaging is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dependable individual to portray Santa Claus as part of a holiday photo experience at the Brevard Zoo. The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with children and families and will help create a welcoming, festive, and memorable experience for zoo guests. The holiday photo program is expected to operate from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends , as well as daily during the Christmas school holiday period immediately preceding Christmas . Final operating dates and schedules will be provided before the start of the program. Primary Responsibilities Portray Santa Claus in a friendly, cheerful, and professional manner. Welcome and interact positively with children, families, and other zoo guests. Pose for individual and family photographs throughout each scheduled shift. Help create an engaging and authentic holiday experience. Work cooperatively with Megapixel photographers, photo sales staff, zoo personnel, and event management. Remain in character while visible to guests. Maintain a professional appearance and properly care for any costume or accessories provided. Report on time and remain available for the full scheduled shift. Follow all Megapixel and Brevard Zoo safety, guest-service, and operating procedures. Qualifications Friendly, patient, dependable, and comfortable working with children of all ages. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain an upbeat personality during repeated guest interactions and photo sessions. Previous experience portraying Santa Claus, performing, acting, entertaining, teaching, or working with children is preferred but not required. A natural beard is preferred but is not required. Candidates are not required to own a Santa suit; a costume can be provided. Must be available to work weekends and scheduled weekdays during the Christmas school holiday period before Christmas. Must successfully complete a background check and satisfy all applicable eligibility requirements for working around children and families. Must be able to reliably commute to the Brevard Zoo for all assigned shifts. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while posing for photographs. Ability to stand, walk, and move comfortably while wearing a Santa costume. Ability to work in a busy public environment and interact continuously with guests during scheduled hours. Ability to tolerate seasonal costumes, wigs, beards, and related accessories. Additional Information This is a seasonal position paying $30.00 per hour . Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the required screening process.
