Our Santas visit families, children's parties, private events, corporate holiday celebrations, and community events throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. This role is all about creating genuine Christmas magic — talking with children, listening to their Christmas wishes, taking photos, and making each family feel like they have just met the real Santa Claus. The holiday season will run approximately from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New Year's, with most opportunities on weekends. What You'll Do Arrive on time and ready to be Santa Warmly greet children and families Talk with children and listen to their Christmas wishes Take photos with children, families, and guests Answer children's questions about Santa, the North Pole, elves, reindeer, etc. Tell short Christmas stories when appropriate Create natural, fun conversations with children Stay in character during the visit Work with the host to create a wonderful holiday experience Travel to different event locations throughout Chicago and Chicagoland You do not need to be a singer, dancer, or professional stage performer. We are primarily looking for someone who can naturally connect with children and families and bring a warm, authentic Santa personality to each event. The Ideal Santa We are looking for someone who: Has a warm and friendly personality Genuinely enjoys being around children Is patient, kind, and comfortable talking with kids Has a naturally Santa-like presence Is comfortable staying in character Has good conversational and communication skills Is reliable and professional Is comfortable posing for photos Can travel to different event locations Is available primarily on weekends during the holiday season A natural white or gray Santa beard is strongly preferred. Candidates with a full, authentic-looking beard are especially encouraged to apply. Previous Santa or entertainment experience is a plus, but you do not need professional acting experience to apply. What We Provide Professional Santa costume Santa accessories and props Character guidance Event information and instructions Flexible seasonal scheduling Paid event opportunities Local Travel This is a mobile position, so events take place at different locations throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. You may be traveling to private homes, event venues, corporate events, community events, and other holiday locations. Reliable transportation is required. Holiday Season Our Santa season runs approximately from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New Year's. Most bookings are on weekends, with some weekday opportunities available.
