Acting, Voice & Dance Description:
Triboro Youth Theatre is seeking Teaching Artists in Acting, Voice, and Dance to lead year-round group classes for young people in the 2026-2027 season. These are standalone instructional positions that are independent from TYT's production seasons, offering an ongoing, year-long teaching relationship with young performers in ourmunity. We are hiring for three disciplines and wee candidates who teach one or more:
Acting:
Scene study, improvisation, character development, stage presence
Voice:
Healthy vocal technique, range development, musical theatre application
Dance:
Jazz, tap, theatre dance, contemporary, creative movement All classes meet once per week on Saturdays or Sundays, 60-90 minutes, and run year-round.

COMPENSATION
$25-$35/hour based on experience Enrollment-based pay structure
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate weekly classes in your discipline Develop a curriculum that builds skills progressively across the year Create a safe, inclusive, and challenging environment for young performers Communicate student progress and any concerns to TYT administration Support TYT's inclusive, learn-by-doing philosophy — every student is weed and valued Complete a CORI background check as required for all youth-serving staff
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
— all disciplines Demonstrated experience teaching your discipline to youth in a group class setting A structured, encouraging, and age-appropriate teaching approach Authorization to work in the United States Ability to pass a CORI background check
BY DISCIPLINE
Acting:
Strong foundation in acting technique, including scene study, improvisation, and character development. Performance background in theatre or related disciplines preferred.
Voice:
Strong foundation in vocal technique and healthy singing practices for developing voices. Experience with musical theatre repertoire and formal vocal pedagogy training preferred.
Dance:
Proficiency in at least two styles relevant to musical theatre performance. Versatility across jazz, tap, contemporary, and/or character movement preferred. Musical theatre performance or choreography background is a plus.
PREFERRED
