The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ballet, Tap, contemporary, and special for ages 2-5 Combo ( pre ballet /tiny tap ) and experience working with children. This role involves teaching various dance styles, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in inspiring students to develop their dance skills while promoting creativity and self-expression. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate dance lesson plans that cater to students' skill levels. Teach various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their dance techniques and performance. Create a safe and supportive environment for all students, encouraging participation and self-confidence. Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events to showcase students' progress. Maintain communication with parents regarding student development and class activities. Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include theater or special education elements. Ensure the studio is clean, organized, and equipped for classes. Skills Strong background in dance with proficiency in multiple styles. Experience working with children in a classroom or recreational setting. Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to various age groups. Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of childcare practices and special education techniques is a plus. Creative skills such as photography or sewing can enhance class projects or performances. Familiarity with theater arts can be beneficial for integrating performance elements into dance instruction. A passion for teaching and nurturing young talent in the performing arts.
