Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Company Description Ave Maria Dance Academy, an award-winning dance studio in Southwest Florida, provides age-appropriate and respectful dance instruction for dancers ages 2 and up. Our comprehensive curriculum includes ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acro, tumbling, pointe, and theatre jazz, catering to recreational, competitive, and pre-professional dancers. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Naples/Ave Maria, FL, for a Dance Instructor. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for teaching dance classes across various styles, designing lesson plans that align with students' skill levels and progression, and fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment. Additional responsibilities include preparing students for performances, competitions, and evaluations, as well as collaborating with fellow faculty members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive dance program. Qualifications Strong expertise in Dance Instruction and Dance Education Experience in one or more dance forms, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, acro, ballroom, and other styles Proficiency in teaching and mentoring students of different age groups and skill levels Understanding of dance and music to create well-rounded and engaging lessons Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and parents Ability to choreograph and prepare students for performances and competitions Commitment to maintaining a respectful and inclusive learning environment Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or equivalent professional experience This role is perfect for energetic and passionate professionals eager to inspire others through movement!
