Full Job Description Job Title:
Dance Teacher We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is interested in making a positive impact on the lives of young people, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals. This role entails creating a safe and inclusive environment, following a set curriculum to facilitate skill development, and delivering age-appropriate content. The ideal candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic, and possess strong communication skills. From a young age through early adulthood, trainees explore the empowerment of movement from world-renowned, award-winning, professional instructors. Personalized training, attention to detail, and expression through performance are hallmarks of the learn-to-dance experience at Alma Dance School.Key Responsabilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of each student. Establish a welcoming and inclusive studio environment for students. Deliver fun, engaging dance classes for various ages and skill levels. Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback. Maintain punctuality in every class, from start to finish. Uphold the core values of Alma Dance School and prioritize student well-being through fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members. Stay well- informed and demonstrate a receptive attitude towards feedback. Choreograph and rehearse for the June performance, with the potential opportunity to also contribute to the annual Nutcracker production.Qualifications:
Experienced in teaching Ballet, Pre-Pointe, and Contemporary/Modern to students of varying levels. Ability to provide proper technical corrections and age-appropriate instruction. High school diploma or equivalent. Professional dance training or equivalent experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Teamwork abilities.Physical Requirements:
Ability to demonstrate dance movements or adequately explain them. Ability to move costumes and supplies as needed.Schedule/Work Hours:
Tuesday:
4:30-7pm.Thursday:
4:15-7:05pmStart Date:
Monday, August 10, 2026. Involvement in two weekend shows per year.Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rate ranges from $30-40, with additional compensation for non-classroom work.Location:
