The ideal candidate enjoys working with young performers, creating age-appropriate choreography, and helping students grow in confidence, stage presence, and dance technique. Productions Madagascar Jr. (Fall 2026) Willy Wonka Kids (Spring 2027) Willy Wonka Jr. (Spring 2027) Responsibilities Create and teach choreography for production numbers Adapt choreography to a variety of experience levels Collaborate with directors and music staff Attend scheduled rehearsals, production meetings, technical rehearsals, and performances Help students develop performance quality and confidence Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment Qualifications Experience teaching dance and/or choreographing musical theatre Strong classroom management skills Ability to work with students ages 6-18 Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for youth arts education Preferred Qualifications Musical theatre choreography experience Training in multiple dance styles Previous experience working with youth theatre programs Compensation Competitive stipend based on experience and qualifications. About YIT Youth Inspirations Theatre is a growing nonprofit performing arts school serving students throughout Central Indiana through classes, productions, camps, and performance opportunities.
