Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking passionate, experienced, and dependable Lead and Assistant Choreographers to join our morning and after-school dance programs in Montgomery County, MD and for our Dance Company in Silver Spring, MD. Candidates should have strong choreography skills, a love for working with children (grades K-5), and the ability to teach various dance styles. Responsibilities Plan and lead engaging dance classes for students of varying ages and skill levels Choreograph routines for performances Provide constructive feedback and encourage growth in each student Collaborate with Team Members to ensure a safe, positive, and professional environment Assist with class organization, attendance, and costumes Experience Previous teaching/choreography experience required (Lead position) Dance background in multiple styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, etc.) Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work well with children Reliable transportation to and from program sites in Montgomery County Demonstrated ability in behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Certification in First Aid or CPR is an asset.
