Hiring for 2026-2027 Season (September-May).
Studio Overview:
Montana Dance Works is a vibrant, recreational dance studio now in our 14th season, offering a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and acro/tumbling for dancers aged 2.5 to 18. Our mission is to provide quality dance training in a positive, nurturing, enthusiastic, and FUN environment. We strive to make every class, performance, and studio experience memorable, fostering creativity, fitness, and essential life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, respect, and time management.Position Overview:
Montana Dance Works is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and skilled dance instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual who can teach jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and/or acro/tumbling classes to students of all ages and skill levels. The Dance Instructor will play a vital role in maintaining a positive, fun, and safe environment that aligns with our mission to promote creativity, accountability, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:
Teach a variety of dance classes (jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and/or acro/tumbling) to students ranging in age from 2.5 to 18 years old. Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that foster growth, creativity, and technical proficiency. Create a positive, fun, and supportive environment where students feel motivated and confident. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students develop their skills. Participate in recital preparations, performances, and other studio events. Maintain open communication with students, parents, and the studio director. Ensure the safety of all students during class and studio activities. Foster a strong sense of community and teamwork within the studio.Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in one or more of the offered dance styles (jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, acro/tumbling) preferred. A passion for dance and working with children of all ages. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse age groups and abilities. A positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing attitude. Ability to work collaboratively with fellow instructors and studio staff. A strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but not required.
