Experienced Dance Instructor/Choreographer Season 2026-27

We are looking for an excellent experienced, reliable, teacher/choreographer to teach classes to our youngest dancers ages 3-6 for recital season 2026-27 (September 2026-May 2027). Please do not apply if you cannot commit to teaching at least the entire season. We would prefer someone to stay with us longer. Must have Sunday morning availability and be experienced, confident, and excellent with teaching young dancers ages 3-6. If you have no prior dance teaching experience, this position is not for you, as, at this time, we need instructors who are confident enough to jump in right away in September and teach our kids. You must be able to send videos of choreography you have done to us prior to scheduling an interview, as creative, outside the box choreography is just as important to us as being an excellent dance teacher and even though this position is for younger dancers, other positions at our studio may be available in the future for older dancers. On a side note, you will need to have your own liability insurance for this position. We can provide recommendations for insurance, if you don't have it already. Emily Rose Dance Creations is a dance studio in Newtown Square, PA, teaching primarily youth, but also adults! Our mission at Emily Rose Dance Creations is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique environment in which students can grow both mentally and physically.

Our studio is still in the growing phase, as we are only in our fifth season, and we need more experienced, well-trained instructors who are passionate about their craft and who are able to pass on that passion and training to our students ranging from ages 2-18 to join our team for next season (September 2026-May 2027). We have girls and boys at our studio training in numerous styles, and we currently offer ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, and modern for kids as well as yoga and ballet for adults. Remember, choreographing and teaching are two different things. Choreographing allows us artists to be creative and present our greatest work, but we must take the time to teach, work with, and train our dancers proper technique so they can get the most out of their craft, which requires patience, understanding, and changes in how we run class depending on the age group/level.
