Job Summary:
Design and paint all scenic elements for Dance Theater, working with adult staff, community volunteer builders, and student helpers in a timely and efficient manner.
Position Information & Responsibilities:
Part-time, no benefits 2026-2027 Flat Rate - $2,944 Collaborate with Dance Theater directors and the PAC Technical Director to design preliminary drawings and a scaled model. Collaborate with the costume designer for any necessary prop or costume elements that need to be designed or created for the production. Facilitate designs and paint scenic elements with adult/student volunteers and paid staff. Schedule volunteers to help paint large backdrops and scenic elements. Facilitate all adjustments to last minute changes, set malfunctions/breaks and unique needs specific to Dance Theater.
Qualifications:
Understanding of how to effectively design and balance three-dimensional spaces. Color theory as it relates to the stage and lighting. Experience with scaled drawings and/or model building. Photoshop, video editing, animation, and/or 3D modeling software skills beneficial
