In this dynamic role, you will design engaging curricula, direct the team by choreographing numbers for gameday performances such as pregames halftimes quarter breaks sidelines postgame chants and dances cheering on players and as they come out of tunnel (Pro Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop ALL pro styles), set formations for numbers, buy equipment and whatever is needed to help guide the dance team in the best direction, select dancer, select uniforms, gather sponsorships, bring in talented guest choreographers (Can be former dance friends, current dance team and studio directors, etc…), train girls to look their best, and many more!!!! Your enthusiasm will motivate learners to explore movement, develop their skills, and express themselves through dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers while honing your artistic talents in a vibrant environment. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating techniques such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary styles Teach engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, movement fundamentals, and artistic expression Create innovative choreography for performances, recitals, and special events that showcase students' talents Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all learners Plan lessons that incorporate elements of childhood development, early childhood education, and special education when appropriate Provide constructive feedback to students to foster growth in dancing skills and confidence Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or school staff to support student progress and address individual needs such as childcare or preschool experience requirements Skills Strong background in various dance styles including Pom, jazz, hip hop etc! Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management Ability to work effectively with young 18+ adult girls and guys, teenagers, and adult learners in diverse educational settings Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles Skills in tutoring or mentoring students to improve their dancing abilities Familiarity with photography for capturing performances or promotional content Experience in theater arts or performing arts enhances choreography capabilities Competence in sewing or costume design can be beneficial for performance preparation Understanding of early childhood education practices and preschool experience is advantageous Ability to adapt teaching methods for special education needs or early childhood settings Join us to make a lasting impact through dance!
