In this role, you will develop engaging dance curricula, teach a variety of dance styles, and craft captivating choreography for performances and classes. Your enthusiasm for dance, combined with your ability to connect with students, will foster a vibrant learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers while honing your own artistic talents. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including ballet, theater dance, and contemporary styles. Teach engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, artistic expression, and physical fitness. Develop original choreography for performances, recitals, and community events that showcase students' talents. Manage classroom behavior effectively while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence in their dancing abilities. Collaborate with other instructors and staff on special projects such as photo shoots or promotional videos that highlight dance programs. Incorporate elements of theater, storytelling, or multimedia (such as photography) into dance lessons to enhance learning experiences. Experience Proven experience in teaching dance or choreography across diverse age groups, including early childhood education and adult learners. Strong background in ballet and other dance styles such as theater or contemporary dance. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within a creative or educational setting. Familiarity with working with children, preschool experience, or special education settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive classroom environments. Additional skills in sewing or costume design are a plus for creating performance attire. Prior involvement in performance arts like theater or musical productions is beneficial for inspiring students' artistic growth.
