Hip Hop Dance Instructor Studio T Arts and Entertainment San Diego, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Hip hop dance performance Dance instruction Dance coaching experience High school diploma or GED Musicality Original choreography creation Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an energetic and experienced Hip Hop Dance Instructor to teach students of various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in authentic hip hop culture and movement styles, including freestyle, grooves, musicality, and street dance fundamentals. This instructor will create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment while helping students build confidence, technique, and performance skills. (Dance Reels are Highly Recommended but not Required) Responsibilities Teach hip hop dance classes for beginner through advanced students. Develop age-appropriate choreography and lesson plans. Instruct foundational hip hop techniques, grooves, rhythm, musicality, freestyle, and performance quality. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Prepare students for showcases, recitals, competitions, and community performances as needed. Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication with students and staff. Stay current with hip hop dance trends while honoring the history and culture of the art form. Qualifications Demonstrated training and performance experience in hip hop and street dance styles. Experience teaching children and/or teens. Strong understanding of hip hop culture, musicality, freestyle, and movement foundations. Ability to create engaging choreography for diverse skill levels. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Reliable, professional, and team-oriented. What We're Looking For We're seeking an instructor who can authentically represent hip hop culture, inspire students, and balance strong technical training with creativity, self-expression, and community building.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
