In this role, you will lead engaging hip hop dance classes, develop innovative curricula, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages creativity and confidence. Your enthusiasm for dance and dedication to teaching will help students discover their rhythm, improve their skills, and enjoy the art of movement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers while sharing your love for hip hop culture. Duties Design and implement comprehensive hip hop dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups Lead lively, motivating dance classes that emphasize technique, choreography, and performance skills Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and fun learning environment Provide personalized feedback and tutoring to help students improve their dancing abilities Incorporate elements of theater, rhythm, and musicality into lessons to enhance students' overall dance experience Organize performances or showcases to celebrate student progress and build confidence Collaborate with other instructors on special projects such as dance workshops or community events Experience Proven experience teaching dance, particularly in hip hop or related styles such as ballet or theater dance Strong background in choreography development and lesson planning for diverse age groups Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience working with children, early childhood education, preschool or special education is a plus Knowledge of photography for documenting performances or class activities is advantageous Additional skills in culinary arts, sewing, or childcare are beneficial but not required; a well-rounded personality is valued Prior classroom experience in dance instruction or youth education enhances your candidacy Join us in creating an energetic space where movement meets creativity!
